Kelsey is a Kansas City native with a lifelong passion for creating warm, welcoming spaces. Her eye for design was shaped early on, growing up alongside her father, the founder of Kansas City Homes & Gardens magazine. Immersed in interiors from a young age, she developed a natural sense of style and a love for thoughtful design.

Before launching Sunflower Staging, Kelsey spent over ten years as an elementary school teacher, all while being the go-to decorator for friends and family. After welcoming her son, Oliver, in 2022, she began staging homes part-time for local agents. In 2025, she earned her real estate license and officially launched Sunflower Staging.

Kelsey believes great design should feel like home and tell a story. She approaches every project with warmth, intention, and care. Outside of work, she enjoys life with her husband, Reed, their son, Oliver, and their dog, Marvin, along with exploring Kansas City and tackling home projects.
